Shall we be the protagonists of our own revolution.

"Cabulosas" is Brazilian Portuguese slang for “awesome." Therefore, this project title could be translated to something close to "100 Ass-kicking Women of History.” It consists of a photo-essay of young women dressed and made-up like female historical characters who were, and still are, omitted from official historical records. Idealized by Levante Popular da Juventude (a Brazilian social movement), the enterprise is an attempt to propagate the ideas of Popular Feminism, which believes that socially established gender roles can only be effectively changed through collectively organized actions. On one hand, the visual identity of the project's crowdfunding campaign should be able to attract people, especially teenage girls; on the other hand, it should reflect its political strength and the density of the discussions it brings up. In other words, it should evoke the concepts of resistance and revolution in creative, funny, and stimulating language.
